Hey there! I'm Melanie. I’m a visual artist turned voice actor and audiobook narrator, dedicated to taking the extraordinary worlds inside your head and turning them into immersive, broadcast-ready audio realities.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a certified bookworm with a lifelong fascination for animation and storytelling.
As a kid, I was constantly dabbling in every creative pursuit I could get my hands on. Always mimicking weird sounds, making up odd voices, and eventually finding my home in the visual arts. I spent years learning how to capture emotion on a canvas and use color to tell a story. But life has a way of shifting our mediums. When Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) made it difficult to use my hands for traditional art, I refused to stop creating. I traded my paintbrush for a professional microphone, only to discover that voice acting wasn't a departure from my art at all, it was an evolution of it.
I believe having a great voice is actually the least interesting part of a performance. Because of my background in the visual arts and my wonderfully neurospicy brain, I see a script as a multi-dimensional playground. I love coloring distinct, vibrant characters that leap out of the speakers (or earbuds) and straight into the listeners’ imagination. I don’t just read your words; I paint a portrait with the texture of subtext, pace the tension, and build an immersive ecosystem where your audience wants to linger.
